These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Satyam Saluja, an individual developer (“the Developer”, “we”, “us”), governing your use of the Journey mobile application (the “App”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The App
Journey is an audio application for focus, reading, sleep, and meditation, providing ambient soundscapes, timed sessions, and related features. The App is provided for your personal, non-commercial use.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the App. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. This license does not allow you to: copy (except as enabled by normal use), modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the App; rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense the App; or remove proprietary notices.
4. Subscriptions (Journey+)
The App offers an optional auto-renewing subscription, “Journey+”, which unlocks additional features (such as longer sessions and additional sounds and modes). A free tier with limited session length and content is available without purchase.
- Billing. Subscriptions are sold and billed through your Apple App Store account. Pricing and available plans (e.g., monthly and yearly) are shown in the App at the point of purchase.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
- Restore.You can restore an active subscription via the in-app “Restore Purchases” option.
- Refunds.Purchases are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple’s refund policies. We do not separately process payments or refunds.
We use RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements and Apple to process payment. We never receive your payment card details.
5. Health and wellness disclaimer
Journey is a relaxation, focus, and wellness tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The App is not a substitute for professional care. Do not use the App while driving or operating machinery, or in any situation requiring your full attention. If you have a medical or mental-health condition, consult a qualified professional before relying on the App. Use of audio sessions is at your own discretion and risk.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the App, including by attempting to interfere with its operation, accessing it through unauthorized means, circumventing subscription or access controls, or using it in violation of applicable law.
7. Intellectual property
The App and its content — including audio, visuals, design, text, and software — are owned by the Developer or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the license in Section 3, no rights are granted to you.
8. User-provided information
Any optional profile information you provide (such as name, email, age, and goal) is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and confirm you have the right to provide it.
9. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Developer from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7–11 and 14) will survive.
13. Apple App Store terms
These Terms are between you and the Developer only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. To the extent of any conflict, the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (including the standard End User License Agreement) also apply to your use of the App. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. In the event the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence, you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India for any dispute arising out of these Terms or the App.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
